Problem

Uncertainty at one stage affects subsequent work

If the prerequisites for starting work, each party’s tasks or inspection points have not been agreed, different work packages may obstruct one another. A defect in concealed work may only become apparent after the next structural element or finishing layer has been completed.

Solution

Linking the work sequence to verifiable prerequisites

We define the information, preceding work and inspections required for each stage. We organise communication so that changes reach the relevant parties and the conditions for starting the next stage are clear.

Description

We plan work sequences around design requirements and dependencies, clarify prerequisites, and agree how clients and contractors will exchange information.

We coordinate the agreed works around site access, material needs and prior stages' readiness. When changes arise, we assess their impact and update the plan.

We arrange checks at each stage, not just completion, and agree defect records and remedies. Specialist works receive suitability and structural joint checks.

Programme

  1. Clarifying project information and scope

We review the submitted design, work description and site constraints. We identify missing information and agree on the scope of planning and coordination.

  2. Sequencing the stages of work

We establish a logical sequence of work, taking account of technical dependencies and interfaces between trades. We identify stages that can only begin once the preceding work has been checked.

  3. Agreeing on working arrangements

We clarify each party’s tasks, communication methods and the process for approving decisions. We align work planning with material requirements, access and site use conditions.

  4. Coordinating the work

We monitor progress against the agreed plan and address organisational obstacles. If the initial conditions change, we adjust the sequence of work and agree on the necessary changes.

  5. Organising quality control

We agree on the work to be inspected, the inspection criteria and how results will be documented. If defects are found, we define the next steps and arrange checks to verify their completion.

Who it’s for

  • Construction clients

If you need support with organising construction work, we help you bring project requirements, the work sequence and inspections together into a single action plan.

  • Main contractors and construction companies

We coordinate an agreed scope of work where dependencies between trades and subcontractor activities require joint organisation.

  • Building owners and managers

We plan working arrangements around building use, access restrictions and the need to separate construction activities from normal use.

Frequently asked questions

What information do you need to start planning?
Please send the existing design or a description of the work, information about site use and restrictions, and your intended scope of work. Based on this, we clarify what additional information is needed to prepare an action plan.
Can I commission the service for just one work package?
We can also agree on a service scope covering the planning and organisation of a specific work package. In doing so, we define its links to preceding and subsequent work and the limits of responsibility.
What happens if the design or scope of work changes?
We review how the change affects the work sequence, material requirements and related work packages. We update the action plan and agree on changes with the relevant parties before implementing them.
Does organising quality control replace owner supervision?
No. Quality control related to work organisation does not replace the owner supervision required by law. We agree separately on the service tasks and limits of responsibility, taking project requirements into account.
What determines the price of the service?
The price depends on the scope of work, the level of design detail, the relationships between trades and the extent of coordination and inspection required. We prepare a quote after clarifying the initial information and tasks.
